December 9th, 2015 – Six restored films have been screened in Germany for the first time in a retrospective dedicated to Pier Paolo Pasolini, in collaboration with Cinecittà Holding and the Ministries of Foreign Affairs. The event comes to an end on Tuesday, December 15 at 7pm at the Italian Institute of Culture in Cologne with two exceptional films: “La Rabbia” and “La sequenza del fiore di carta.” The two films were shot by the great Italian artist in 1963 and 1969. “La Rabbia” is the brainchild of producer Gastone Ferranti, who wanted to bring together Pasolini and Giovannino Guareschi, considered the two leading intellectuals of the time even though they had very different political and ideological ideas. The producer’s intention was to create a kind of “cine-match” where Guareschi and Pasolini debated a specific question: what was the source of discontent, fear and conflict that agitated society back then?
