December 11th, 2015 – The “ER Duni” Conservatory of Matera attends an important and prestigious musical event. Nino Rota’s music – and much more – will fill the air of the theater of the Italian Institute of Culture in Brussels on Saturday at 7pm, as the Chamber Orchestra of the Conservatory Duni travels to the European capital to perform. The orchestra, conducted by Daniele Belardinelli, consists of 30 teachers and students from the structure. The concert in Brussels will feature Nino Rota’s Ballandi for IL Gattopardo and some music for piano and string orchestra written by maestro Vincenzo Cipriani. The Duni Conservatory began as a branch of the “Piccinni” Conservatory of Bari in 1965, and today benefits from the prestigious guidance of Nino Rota. With his high professional expertise and his extensive and profound culture, Maestro Rota in a few years transformed the academy in a real hotbed of musical operators. (Red)
