December 22nd, 2015 – Italian expertise expands quickly abroad, especially that in high-speed railway systems. The most recent receptor of said knowledge is Turkey. Italcertifer, a company of the Italian FS Group, is a world leader in the certification of railways. Its latest job was the verification of the high-speed compatibility of the “Velaro” train, produced by Siemens, on the line Ankara-Konya. Italcertifer preliminarily verified the suitability of the various infrastructure components for the speed upgrade (which now reaches 300 km/h). The Velaro train, already certified in Germany, passed all tests conducted during the year on the 200 km line between Polatli and Konya in test speeds reaching up to 340 km / h, it was then tested for compatibility with the line and approved for circulation up to 300 km / h.
