December 30, 2015 – Visitors have until Monday, January 4 to head to the Art Gallery “Dimitar Dobrovich” of Sliven to see the photo exhibition by Riccardo Zipoli entitled “Venice windows”. The display features domes, trees, steeples, columns, clouds, statues and chimneys sprouting from inside the windows of houses and buildings, taking on new and unusual forms. Zipoli’s photographs are presented in pairs, and each pair is marked by a special feature that unites the two images. The photographs were chosen and paired up by the Italian Institute of Culture in Sofia in collaboration with the Art Gallery – selected from more than a thousand taken between 2004 and 2006, showcasing a little known Venice, reflected in the glass of its windows, both ephemeral and eternal. The exhibition reveals a city that seems mutable and elusive, but with ideal and metaphysical elements to it. (Red)
