Zlitan – “In the face of the terrorist attack this morning in Zlitan, I express the closeness and solidarity of the Italian government to the victims, to the Libyan people and to Prime Minister-designate Seraj. The threat of terrorism is answered first and foremost with the unity of the Libyan people. It is thus urgent to implement the recently signed political agreement, overcoming internal divisions to create a Government of National Accord and focus on the common fight against terrorism and the reconstruction and pacification of the country.” Italy’s Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni thus commented the tragic events occurred today in Libya, which caused dozens of deaths especially among the recruits of the Police training center.
