Offenburg – In recent days the Baden-Arena in Offenburg, Germany, welcomed the 31-year-old Roman Giovanni De Carolis (24-6, 11 KOs in his career), number 14 in the WBA rankings, as the winner the super medium weight league defeating with a technical knockout in 32 minutes Vincent Feigenbutz. At the time of the match, De Carolis was leading the scorecards of all three judges (for Jean Robert Laine and Pawel Kardyni 96-94, while Juan Manuel Garcia Reyes was oriented towards a 98-92). That of Saturday was the second match between the two boxers; their first meeting, on 17 October, saw the unanimous yet controversial decision in favor of Feigenbutz. Although a decade younger, Feigenbutz’s limits were evident since their first meeting. He promised he would be more aggressive in the rematch, compared to the wait-tactic he had adopted in the first challenge, but De Carolis made the most of his experience and won. (9Colonne)
