Dublin – Everybody knows Pasolini the film director, few know of his poetic talent, even fewer dove into the depths of his early poetry, written in Friuli dialect. And so, the Dublin Fogolâr is launching its rich program of activities with a special event dedicated to Pier Paolo Pasolini. The tribute, entitled “Pasolini, the poet: Friuli, Italy and Beyond” will take place tomorrow, January 21, at 6pm, at Trinity College Dublin. The theme of the evening, organized in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Dublin, the Italian Society of Trinity College, with the contribution of the Ente Friuli nel Mondo and the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, will be Pasolini the poet, from his early writings in dialect to later evolutions in Italian.
