Manama – Finmeccanica is making its debut as a One Company in the Bahrain Airshow, which opened today, presenting its Helicopters Division (which in the reorganization process of the Group, absorbed, as of January 2016, the activities of AgustaWestland) and the “Avionic Systems and Space”, “Defence Electronics Land and Naval” and “Security Systems and Information” Divisions. Under the new organizational model of the One Company, wanted by Managing Director and CEO Mauro Moretti, Finmeccanica is a single company active in aerospace, defense and security, with a new governance system divided into sectors and operating divisions, letting go of the previous model of holding company and subsidiaries. The Bahrain Airshow is thus an ideal stage for Finmeccanica’s debut, because it catalyzes the strategic markets of the Gulf region. The most recent contract, acquired by the division Electronics for Land and Naval Defense, involves upgrading six ships of the Royal Bahrain Naval Force and the supply of related activities and training, actively contributing to the country’s security.
