(22 January, 2016) Eni is featured for the first time, and as the only Italian company, in the Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World index. The index, launched in 2005 by Corporate Knights, a Canadian financial information, media and research company dedicated to quantifying and disclosing the “sustainable” drivers of capitalism, elects every year the 100 most sustainable companies. These must have a market capitalization larger than $ 2 billion on October 1 of each year, and are evaluated according to 12 KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). As for Eni’s evaluation, there was a significant improvement in the relationship between CEO pay and average wages as well as leadership diversity; an improvement on energy consumption, and emissions and water consumption indicators; as well as an improvement in the link between remuneration and sustainability goals. “These results – reads a statement from Eni – confirms yet again our company’s attention to sustainable development and responsible management.” (Red)
