Vienna – Vienna recently hosted the working meeting of the Austrian-Italian task force established in March 2015 to exchange and analyze information on criminal organizations operating in the two countries. During the meeting, the Italian delegation, led by Deputy Director General for Public Security – Central Director of Criminal Police, Prefect Antonino Cufalo, met with the Chief of Transalpine Criminal Police – Deputy Director General of the Federal Police, Franz Lang. The group discussed strategic and operational issues related to immigration, human trafficking and the recovery of illegally obtained assets. Particular attention was paid to measures aimed at combating currency counterfeiting, aggression, the seizure of criminal assets, and money laundering by criminal organizations. (9Colonne)
