Addis Ababa – Italian companies land in Ethiopia with the Italian Trade Agency, which organizing the participation of a group of companies in the 20th edition of Actif – Addis Chamber International Trade Fair, to be held in Addis Ababa from 25 February to 2 March. The event is the largest multi-sector appointment in the country and the Horn of Africa, evident in the number of exhibitors and visitors. The motto chosen by the organizers for this edition is “Development of Industry Zones for Industrialization Drive”, to emphasize the desire of the Ethiopian government to create an economic environment capable of promoting trade and industrial cooperation in the name of a harmonious and sustainable development of the country. The Italian delegation will occupy an area of over 600 square meters inside the main pavilion of the exhibition space, making Italy one of the best-represented nations at the fair. The ITA Office in Addis Ababa has given visibility to the Italian presence at the fair through communication actions, inserts in local newspapers and by sending invitations to local operators selected based on the company profiles of the Italian exhibitors. The sectors represented at the fair are mainly related to materials and equipment for construction, industrial equipment, stone working machines, machines for the food industry, water treatment and waste, energy, furniture and contract, and agribusiness.
