Hasselt – A tour to present their latest album, “Roots Interchange.” This is in sum what jazz guitarist and composer Alessandro Florio has been doing since he left Italy on February 11, enjoying considerable success with audiences and critics alike. The tour now continues in Belgium for Florio and his trio, with Alessio Busanca on hammond and Armando Luongo on drums. On Belgian soil, the three will perform on Friday, Feb. 26 in Hasselt, on Saturday 27 at L ‘Aquilone Asbl in Liège and on February 28 in Antwerp. For Florio 2016 continues to be as busy as 2015, with intense live performances from New York to Athens and the release of ‘Roots Interchange’, an album recorded with two of the most important musicians on the European jazz scene: Pat Bianchi on hammond and Carmen Intorre on drums, the latter key drummer for George Benson and Joey Defrancesco, and both musicians for the Pat Martino trio, a legend of jazz guitar.
