(24 February 2016) Cibus – International Food Exhibition continues its international road show. Established to promote genuine Italian food products, Cibus recently hosted an event held at the GulFood fair in Dubai and has another scheduled for March 9 at the Foodex Japan 2016 trade show. The Japanese event will take place in Tokyo from March 8-11. For the occasion Cibus / Fiere di Parma, the Italian Trade Agency and Federalimentare have organized a dinner at the Italian Embassy in Japan for March 9, which will see the participation of more than 100 guests (buyers, local business operators and Italian food companies). Foodex Japan, with its 3,000 exhibitors, is the most important food fair in Japan and a commercial point of reference throughout the Asia Pacific region. The event in Dubai, as part of GulFood, saw Cibus / Fiere di Parma organize a dinner at the Armani Hotel in Burj Khalifa, always with the ITA and Federalimentare. GulFood, with its 5,000 exhibitors in the food and hospitality industry from 120 countries, is among the most important food fairs in the Middle East. The dinner was attended by 200 people (buyers, traders from Dubai and various Middle Eastern countries and representatives of food companies). During the event, Elda Ghiretti, Cibus Brand Manager, and Antonio Cellie, CEO of Fiere di Parma gave a brief speech. In addition to presenting the upcoming 18th edition of Cibus (Parma May 9-12), the meeting was useful to consolidate relations initiated during the Universal Exhibition of Milan with Middle Eastern institutions and also to figure out how to capitalize on the opportunities offered by ExpoDubai 2020.
