(24 March 2016) The Roadshow 2016 “Italy for Companies, with SMEs towards foreign markets” continues. The initiative is sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI, promoted and supported by the Ministry of Economic Development and organized by the Italian Trade Agency for the promotion abroad and the internationalization of Italian companies (with the collaboration of Sace and Simest). The objective is to provide consulting and assistance services to those companies that plan to seize development and growth opportunities in foreign markets. The last leg of the Roadshow was in Trento. For the occasion Carlo Formosa, Central Director for the Internationalization of the National System at MAECI, emphasized the role played by the Ministry in support of businesses towards the promotion of internationalization initiatives. “Our support for businesses can be institutional or informative, direct or through our platforms, and it’s important that companies know that they exist and start using them more.” Formosa also stressed that “125 embassies, 79 consulates, 85 cultural institutes, and 25 scientific and technological experts make up the integrated network of service available to Italian companies abroad.” After recalling the victims of Brussels and addressing a thought to Belgium, one of Trentino’s major trading partners, the Vice President for Internationalization of Confindustria Trento Zobele Henry explained that “although economic data in Trentino speak of a better situation than elsewhere, even in our province there is a need for an even greater impetus in the direction of the internationalization process: exports reached €3.4 billion, but for the most part our products go towards Europe. Confindustria Trento operates in favor of these new investments, via Trentino Export and Assoservizi”. (Red)
