(28 March 2016) The Trentino System mission to China has come to an end, but the synergy between the Autonomous Province and the General Consulate of Italy in Chonqging to foster economic development, science and technology in the region in Sichuan is still there. The mission also saw the flash visit of Councilor Carlo Daldoss to Chonqging, which with its 33 million inhabitants is considered the largest city in the world. During the meeting with the Consul General of Italy in Chonqging, Sergio Maffettone, who had also accompanied the delegation in Chengdu, the Councilor stressed that “thanks to a system-wide organizational effort, with saw the close interaction between our Province and the Consulate general, and the presence in the delegation of qualified representatives of the Trentino business system and research, we managed to reach an important result: an institutional partnership with Sichuan, one of Asia’s provinces with greater development and potential for the next 30 years. Even more important was the signing of trade agreements between Trentino and Sichuan companies, confirming the importance of continuing supporting the internationalization of our operators in emerging markets.” More than 100 B2B meetings took place in the two days of work in Chengdu, organized by the General Consulate of Italy in Chongquing in collaboration with the Sichuan Department of Commerce, followed by a third day of a bilateral visits for the companies that showed the greatest interested in the offered product.
