(6 April 2016) Once again the Italian music proves to be a protagonist abroad. For the seventeenth consecutive year, the Ghedi Festival (Brescia), which since 2000 has become a reference point in our local pop scene, comes back with great new features to attract new Italian authors and singers. Made strong by partners such as Sony Music and Warner Chappell, the Festival this year becomes “exporter” of talents, creating a bridge between young italian artists and the United States with the prestigious “New York Award”. In fact, those who register by 15 June (enrollments continue however until early September), will be elegible to participate to the New York Italian Music Festival scheduled for September 11 at the MasterTheater (Millenium). But there’s more: the excellent jury represented by Antonio Vandoni, Roberto Rossi, Massimiliano Longo, Marco Ragusa, Daniel Favero, Luca Colombo, Elio Cipri, Piero Calabrese from 2016 will be joined by Diego Calvetti and journalist Paolo Giordano. Ghedi Festival is preparing to “cross” the peninsula, organizing selection stages in some of the major Italian cities in prestigious venues. (Red)
