Brussels – The outcome of a highly competitive selection, the European Research Council has awarded within the Horizon 2020 program – Excellent Science European Union, an Advanced Grant to Professor. Mauro Bussani (Professor of Comparative Law at the University of Trieste), in collaboration with prof. Hyacinth Cananea (Professor of Administrative Law at the University of Rome Tor Vergata), for the comparative research project The Common Core of European Administrative Law. European Research Council Advanced Grants are intended to support projects of excellence proposed by scholars of already high scientific prestige. The only criterion used in the selection of projects to finance is the excellence of the proposals and proponents. At this competition announcement can in fact participate only scholars that can boast a resume with important results in the last 10 years and have contributed significantly to their original area of research. Based on an evaluation conducted in stages and a large number of anonymous reviewers of international importance, the project proposed by Profs. Bussani and Cananea has been found to meet every criterion of ‘excellence’. To date, it is the first time in the European Research Council history that a team of only Italian scientists, employed by Italian University, obtained an Advanced Grant in legal matters. (9Colonne)
