Toronto. Last week in Toronto, an economic mission to support the export of agricultural and food products of Valtellina to Canada, organised by the Sondrio Chamber of Commerce (“Promozione” Task Force) in collaboration with the Italian Chamber of Commerce of Ontario (ICCO) and the Italian Consulate General in Toronto. The initiative was realised in conjunction with the undersecretary to Foreign Affairs, Benedetto Della Vedova’s on official visit to Canada. The delegation from Valtellina was led by the General Secretary Marco Bonat with the support of Marco Chiapparini of the Agriculture and Food quality district in Valtellina, who collaborated with the Chamber of Commerce to coordinate actions in Canada. Six businesses from Valtellina have participated. The project title “La Valtellina a Toronto” has permitted businesses to meet with a selection of potential buyers in the agricultural and food sector active in Ontario.(9colonne)
