Cairo. ENI through the start of production of Nidoco North 1X exploration well and the Nidoco West 4 development well in Egypt have brought production of camp Nooros in granting Abu Madi West, about 65,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (33,000 net to ENI). This new milestone, achieved in just 10 months of the discovery that took place in July 2015, is further evidence of the near field exploration ENI’s strategy of targeted high-value activities that enable rapid development of discoveries through the existing infrastructure. Daily production of Nooros, of which about 10 million cubic meters are represented by gas and 5,000 barrels of condensate, will make an important contribution to the reduction of gas imports and the supply of cheap energy for Egypt’s development. The next target for ENI is to increase production up to 140,000 barrels per day by the end of 2016, through the drilling of additional wells. (9colonne)
