Yeovil – The Minister of Justice and Public Security Norwegian Anders Anundsen took part in the unveiling ceremony for the first of 16 AW101 helicopters for search and rescue (Search and Rescue – SAR) destined for Norway. The ceremony took place at the Leonardo-Finmeccanica Facility in Yeovil, UK, where the AW101 are manufactured, the best seller in its category with more than 220 units ordered and also the new AW159 naval helicopter which has already found commercial success in the United Kingdom and abroad. Minister Anundsen expressed: “The ceremony marks the achievement of an important goal. The helicopter is an important and crucial resource for Norwegian rescue services and is now complete and ready for testing.
