(3 June 2016) The Italian Cultural Institute of Madrid, as part of the exhibition “Gabriele Basilico, architecture and cities”, organizes the conference “European Photography. An Italian perspective “, curated by Elio Grazioli, contemporary art critic and photographer. The event takes place from June 9 to 20 at the ICI headquarters in Madrid. The exhibition “Gabriele Basilico, architecture and cities”, will be open until September 6 and is a journey through several Italian and international cities viewed through the eyes of one of the greatest contemporary photographers. The works in the exhibition come from the Photography Collection of the Maxxi Architecture, acquired through various purchasing commission projects and testimony of the Milanese photographer since 2002, and the Maxxi Art collection, which has a historical core of urban “portraits” realized by Basilico.
