Beiruty. Italian Ambassador to Lebanon, Massimo Marotti, inaugurated the exhibition “Icons of design” in the prestigious Villa Audi in the heart of Beirut. The exhibition, organised by the Italian Cultural Institute in collaboration with the Sartirana Art Foundation, Galleria Semaan, and Audi Foundation, introduce an ‘anthology’ of the most important design objects envisioned for home décor, combing beauty, comfort and functionality, for the first time to the Lebanese public. The exhibition covers 90 years from 1920 to date. The main representatives of Italian design are: Fontana Arte, Artemide, Zanotta, Lodola, Kartell, Floss, Stoppino, Poggi, Castellani & Smith, Zompi, and La Murrina. (9colonne)
