(June 20, 2016) Italy will be celebrating the music festival, promoted by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism in collaboration with Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Education, Defense, Justic, Health, of ANCI and the Conference of Regions and the contribution of SIAE (Italian Society of Authors and Publishers). Local entities, associations within the sector, and realities on the ground to permit soloists, choruses, orchestras, musical bands and groups, Italian artists and new Italians and foreigners to perform in more than 100 adhering cities. It is an internationally renowned event that will also be celebrated in consulates, embassies and Italian Cultural institutes abroad. For this occasion, the ICI of Lisbon has scheduled a rich programme of events taking place between 19:00 to 23:00. The event will start with the distribution of diplomas to graduating students of Italian language and culture courses of the Cultural Institute by the Italian Ambassador to Lisbon Giuseppe Morabito and the actress Edwige Fenech, sponsor of the event. The Friends of the School of Music association of the National Conservatory of Lisbon will perform Mozart’s Nocturnes in Italian followed by a jazz performance “Italian swing in the golden ages” at 20:30 by the trio composed of Massimo Cavalli (bass and electric bass), Pedro Santos (accordion) and Federica Lipuma (vocals).
