(June 21, 2016) A promotional campaign kicked off in 30 Houston restaurants for the best extra virgin olive oils of Lazio in the project “Latium Land of Oil”, realised by the Chamber of Commerce of Rieti in collaboration with Unioncamere Lazio and the Chambers of Commerce of Rome, Frosinone, Latina and Viterbo. The goal is to raise awareness among restaurateurs, wine journalists, buyers and US consumers for the use and purchase of extra virgin olive oil of the region. It aims in particular to promote and develop the best extra virgin olive oil from areas with national and / or community recognition, designation of origin (PDO and PGI) from Sabina, Canino, Tuscia and Colline Pontine or different areas of the territory Lazio. The specific promotional campaign focused on Italian restaurants in Houston, providing information and opportunities for guided oil tastings from a selection of oils and other olive products from Lazio.
