(June 22, 2016) Claudia Crabuzzo has always sung in Italian including for the Chichimeca of which she is the founder and lead singer. A band that mixes Sardinian musical culture with Latin American influences. When it was time to release her debut solo album, Claudia Crabuzza chose Catalan from Alghero. It is an ancient language that arrived to the island in the 14th century, now found in her album “Com un soldat”, a sensational album with hard, rhythmic sounds with an impact that is no doubt rock. The result is that her success has reached Spain where the inaugural tour for “Com un Soldat” was very well received by the public and critcs. “Com un Sold” was released for the label Microscopi di Barcellona and was presented to the public during a three day tour: live concerts in Tarragona and Barcelona, one of which was organised by Cose di Amilcare (the Catalonian branch of Club Tenco) and the radio programme Zibaldone. The tour also stopped by the Italian Cultural Institute of Barcelona. She was also received on TV and radio programmes: Pensió complete a Badalona TV, Xtrems a Ràdio Badalona, Zibaldone Radio, Enderrock TV and Mediterraneo on national Radio 3, accompanied by Joan Adell Elies Pitarch (to be broadcasted June 26 at 9:00). The singer and song writer said about her album: “I wrote these songs starting from the story of my first son’s birth. Then “Mare Antiga” was born, a ceremony for the Earth, the great mother that guides the most natural gestures. This is how all the other songs followed, thinking about my beloved Frida (Frida Kahlo) and Lhasa (Lhasa de Dela, Canadian singer and song writer with Mexican origins). I dedicate my songs to great women on the world’s stage to which I dedicate two distinct songs, to my three sons, to infinite love, and abandoned places to search for new lives. ‘Com un Soldat’ comes from there, my years as a grown woman, full of energy to do things and silence underground noises”.
