Beijing – Alitalia back in China. The Italian company inaugurates the Rome-Beijing route, marking the resumption of direct links between Italy and the Republic of China, a further step in the development plan of Alitalia’s long haul network. This is the third intercontinental route of 2016, after those for Santiago (from May 1) and Mexico City (June 16). With this new flight, which will be scheduled four days a week, Alitalia confirms its projection to the Far East; the Rome-Beijing route adding up to the already operating daily services to Tokyo and Seoul. The companies that do business with China will also be able to send or receive goods through Alitalia’s cargo transportation. The new Rome-Beijing flight will depart from Rome Fiumicino to Beijing every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, at 14.20, to land at 6:20 (local time) the following day. (9Colonne)
