(July 18, 2016) From August 6 to 30 “Panta Rei” will be on display at the Task Museum in Tokyo. It was organised by the Italian Cultural Institute of Osaka with the museum. “Panta Rei” is an aphorism attributed to the Greek philosopher Heraclitus. It signifies “everything flows”, to the extent that you can not be immerged twice in the same river because everything is subject to the law of change. The expression signifies the awareness of the ephemeral nature of a world that has transformation as its constant. The exhibition is to propose a path through the language of ceramics, transience and the apparent immobility of nature. The exhibition will showcase the works of artists of the C13Collective (Stefano Giglio, Elena Lombardi, Matteo Bagolin) and Japanese artist Yumiko Murata, Aya Yamamoto Yoshiko Oshima, Hiroko Hatabu, Hitomi Iwasaki, Rie Miyatake, Masatoshi Takamori, Yukio Yoshida. On August 5, Stefano Giglio, Elena Lombardi and Rie Miyatake, accompanied by maestro Shogoro Nomura, will be interviewed by journalist Kazuko Nakakima on RadiosakuraFM. (Red)
