Krakow. ‘The Pope’s Encyclical was a determining factor in the attempt to achieve a European agreement on climate and subsequently, Cop21. Without the Pope’s push and the ‘Laudato Si’ we would not have been able to achieve such ambitions agreements. To activate the agreement in Paris, more ethics and responsibilities are required however, the first signs are not positive because if the solution to problems such immigration are walls, this means that we are regressing and that we have not understood the Paris agreement nor the universal message of the Encyclical”. This was stated by the Minister for the Environment, Gian Luca Galletti at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. He participated in a conference on integral ecology and Pope Francis’s encyclical in the presence of the Archbishop of Krakow, Cardinal Stanislas Dzwisz, two days from the launching of the World Youth Day in Krakow.
