Islamabad. Leonardo-Finmeccanica announced that the Government of Pakistan has signed a contract for several intermediate twin-engine AgustaWestland AW139 helicopters that will be used for transportation and helicopter rescue. The contract represents another important success for Leonardo which sees a growth in AW139 helicopters and other models in the country. Pakistan is one of several countries that have chosen or are already operating the AW139 for government tasks; including Italy, Ireland, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Thailand to name a few.
