Lansing – The dantesque woman and the contemporary world woman. This is the theme proposed for the “Belle Isle” day, scheduled on September 8 that the Dante Alighieri Committee will dedicate to the work of the great poet. A literary journey to understand the modernity of Dante’s work, who still offers many interpretive ideas, to better read and understand a society in which women are still subject to violence. Professor Debora Cavagna, in fact, will trace a path from the medieval demonic woman, through the stilnovisti angel-woman, to sublimate in the spiritual interpretation that Dante gives of Beatrice.
