In a time when the Italian production is particularly lively, the festival in Annecy allows to soak in the richness and diversity of the works that come from the peninsula for seven straight days. The event is organised by Annecy Cinéma Italien in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Instiute in Lyon. The focus of the event however is to pay tribute to the honorary citizen of Annecy and president of the festival, Ettore Scola who passed in January of this year. On the occasion of the awards ceremony, the documentary by Paola and Silvia Scola “Laughing and joking” will be screened.
