(September 2, 2016) Thursday, September 29, as part of the Languages Week organized by EUNIC España 26-30 of the month, the Italian Institute of culture in Madrid celebrate at its headquarters a recital entitled “Europe 2016: poetry maps”, with well-known European poets. Readers include authors from: Italy, Romania, Poland, Lithuania, Slovenia and France. The Italian attendee will be the poet Paolo Febbraro, author of “The Diary of Kaspar Hauser”, Editions L’Oblique ( “El diario de Kaspar Hauser”, Ediciones La Palma, translated by Bruno Mesa), for Romania Ioana Gruia, for Poland Tomasz Różycki, for Lithuania, the poet, writer, singer and composer Ingrida Daukšytė, from Slovenia poet Simona Kopinšek and translator Barbara Pregelj and from France Jean-Paul Michel, who will present poems from the opera “defiendete, violent beauty”(translation from the French of Antonio Alarcón, Colección Transatlántica / portbou, 2016). The recital will conclude with the extraordinary performance of “Trees of Mint”, a musical project created by self-taught guitarist and composer Francesco Serra. The sounds will be accompanied by the dark and revealing atmosphere by director Calogero Ricciardello, in an unpredictable game of musical and visual synergy in which the video artist explores the constant presence of the memory, space and mind. The landscapes are defined by details, from multiple meanings and create a labyrinthine structure that pulls the viewer in a dream-like and unexplored space. (Red)
