(19 September, 2016) “The Secret” is the title of Fiamma Montezemolo’s personal exhibition. Anthropologist and teaching staff at the University of California. Kadist Foundation of San Francisco welcomes the artist’s work (3295, 20th Street). The exhibition was organised in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute and will be open to the public from September 21 until October 1. It is composed of two installations: “Three Ecologies” and “Neon Afterwords” (the latter was especially built for the occasion thanks to the ICI). They explore connections between art and anthropology, the self and the other. Guided by their own sense, the spectators are invited to create their own path among the installations in order to search for meanings, imitating Jorge Luis Borges’s ‘The Ethnographer”. “The Secret” is the third and final part of “Mapping the City” a project of the ICI curated by Marina Pugliese with the objective to facilitate exchanges between Italy and the Bay Area in the the visual arts.
