London. A study on the clinical results of decompressive craniectomy of which Professor Franco Servadei is the co-author, was recently published in the New England Journal of Medicine. Servadei is head of Neurosurgery – Neurotraumatology of the University Hospital and adjunct professor at the University of Parma. The study is titled ‘Trial of Decompressive Craniectomy for Traumatic Intracranial Hypertension’ and is the result of an important European multicentric collaboration. (9colonne)
