Rome – The railway sector, with 24.2% of the total value of orders, is the type of work mainly carried out by Italian companies. Followed by road works, with 22.3% of share and hydraulic ones with 15% (from 2016 Ance Report on Italian companies presence of abroad construction). Building sector are also increasing, both residential and non-residential, whith more than 8% of order backlog. Regarding the contracts of concession, in 2015, Italian companies participating in 22 projects abroad, for a total value of 33.8 billion, of which about 4.5 of their direct competence. The predominant share is highways one (55% of existing contracts), followed by hospitals (18%) and generation and distribution of electricity (12.4%). (9Colonne)
