Nuremberg. Following the signing of the cooperation protocol between the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and Bavaria, which took place in May during President Seehofer’s official visit to Trieste, a port authority of Trieste mission took place a few days ago in Bavaria with the port operators. The mission included a presentation of the port which was attended by the Italian Ambassador Pietro Benassi and President of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Region, Debora Serracchiani. The President of Friuli Venezia Giulia’s speech to the large audience of the event organised by the German-Italian Chamber of Commerce, highlighted the important domestic investments which are directed towards the port of Trieste, that will help increase its efficiency. She also highlighted the desire to create a customs railroad corridor between Trieste and Munich which represents “an unmissable opportunity in the interest of the two countries.” (9Colonne)
