Hamburg. Thursday, October 13 to 19, the Italian Institute of Culture in Hamburg will continue the journey in contemporary Italy in the footsteps of Goethe with the film “Caterina in the Big City.” It is the story of 13-year-old Caterina, who learns about a world completely foreign to her after moving to Rome. The director Paolo Virzì has managed to create a careful analysis of society. He takes the viewer around the capital, captures the people who live there, portrays the ambitious small Italian middle-class and shows the universe of Italian teenagers as a microcosm of the Italian political spectrum. The film will be screened at Cinema Metropolis Kino (Kleine Theaterstraße 10, 20354 HH). (9Colonne)
