(October 14, 2016) “I live in Los Angeles but one’s origins are never forgotten.” So says Gabriele Ciampi: composer and conductor who has conquered America. And not only. From Rome, his hometown, to Los Angeles, where he currently lives, Ciampi has exported its way of composing in the USA. On invitation of the First Lady Michelle, in 2015 he performed at the White House for the President Obama family. And now he announces two important news for an artistic career on the rise: the signing with Universal Music and the “worldwide” release of a collection of unrelead material. Ciampi has grown up with the music by working in the family firm of piano builders and suppliers, then the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia; then university La Sapienza (specialization in “Italian Literature and Cinema”); until he is selected by the prestigious UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles). It was 2012. He moved to California thanks to the “Green Card” obtained through “Extraordinary Ability” in music, he was invited to the “Los Angeles Music Awards”, where he obtained a huge success, and by the end of 2015, also came the ‘ invitation to perform at the “White House” (unique and extraordinary event for an Italian composer). Two years after the publication of “The Minimalist Evolution”, Ciampi is now ready to go out in the world with his second work – “In Dreams Awake” (on October 21 it will be published in digital form and, on October 28, on compact disc ). His new album will be released by Universal Music, the major with which he signed two “worldwide” exclusive contracts: recording and publishing. “Entering the Universal family – said Ciampi – is a great satisfaction for me artistically and personally. Working with a major of this caliber in the field of classical / contemporary music involves more responsibility and attention to the quality of artistic production: it is an important partnership that enhances the best sowing of these years. I’m happy to have chosen Italy as a country from which to launch my new art project: I live in Los Angeles but I’m Italian, and one’s origins are never forgotten … The album will come to America in the early months of 2017 ” .
