Florence – “It’s essential the strengthening of the TV channels in Italian language abroad and dedicated content for the internet: it is a special mission that the public broadcasting service must fulfill, with great attention to its cultural offer that Italy is able to provide”. This was stated by Italian Head of State Sergio Mattarella, at the States General of the Italian language in the world. According to Mattarella “this is an offer that will reach not only our communities abroad, eager to watch quality transmissions, but will contribute to the role of ‘lingua franca’ that in many cultural fields – art and music among them – it’s Italian. It ‘a matter that also concerns the support to the Italian language publishing abroad – continued Mattarella -: this is a media that should be supported.
