Riyadh – In the first six months of 2016, the exchanges between Lombardy and Gulf Countries is about 2.4 billion, of which more than 1.9 billion by exports alone. The Gulf one, is an important market and Lombardy constitutes 27.7% of national interchange especially Saudi Arabia and the Emirates, with an import-export of respectively 900 and 800 million Euros. Between 2015 and 2016 interchange with Kuwait (+ 100.7%) and Bahrain (+ 128.3%) doubled. Almost a third of Lombard exports to the Gulf regards machinery (731 million euro), metal fabricated products (258 million), electrical appliances (218 million) and fashion (150 million, of which more than half from the Emirates).
