(24 November, 2016) “Italian cuisine in the world” week is an unmissable occasion to promote one of the foundations of Italian culture and the economy in a region of the world that is increasingly open to development” according to the Ambassador to Yangon, Pier Giorgio Aliberti. The Ambassador commented on this initiative organised by the Farnesina all over the world which has been very successful with the public, especially Myanmar. With the collaboration of Chef Sara Danesin Medio, Master Chef UK 2011 finalist, the Italian Embassy organised a series of events to promote Italian food culture in Myanmar. The week opened with a Master Class, during which Chef Danesin Medio showed a large group of young Burmese chefs how to prepare some typical Italian dishes. The program will continue in the next few days with a series of “Italian dinners” to pay homage to the original flavours of our land. Also participating in the initiative are Italian restaurants in Myanmar, who will offer a special price menu. (Red)
