Kabul – On December 14, the Diagonistic Centre and the department for the development of breast cancer screening at the Esteqlal hospital in Kabul was inaugurated in the presence of the Afghan Minister of Health Ferozuddin Feroz; Italian Ambassador, Roberto Cantone; the Director of the Italian Cooperation Office, Rosario Centola; experts in the health sector Arif Oryakhail and Marino Martin. The structure was built thanks to the support of more than €3million from the Italian Agency for Cooperation for Development (AICS) as part of a larger project aimed at strengthening the provincial health systems of Kabul and Herat by supporting national BPHS (Basic Package Health Service) programs and EPHS (Essential Package Hospital Service).
