Copenhagen – It will open on January 19 at the Italian Institute of Culture in Copenhagen, the exhibition entitled “The design of the Made in Italy” which covers three decades of art and visual communication design, from the 50s to the early 80s, through the history of the most cutting-edge graphic designers and companies. Designing unique images to communicate ideas and new products was the great insight of Made in Italy, which developed in the economic and business of Italy after World War II. A phenomenon which projected outside Italy the image of a country with a vitality and an entrepreneurial spirit out of the ordinary. The exhibition makes it clear that in Italy the role of graphic design was essential to raise awareness of industrial products, narrate them, make them theatrical and desirable objects, through the construction of a shared symbolic imagery.
