Istanbul. In the context of ‘Suono Italiano 2017’ pianist Benedetto Lupo will perform on January 20 at the Casa D’Italia theatre in Istanbul. The concert was organised by the Italian Cultural Institute of Istanbul in collaboration with CIDIM. Considered by international critics as one of the most fascinating and complete talents of his generation, Benedetto Lupo has participated in many international competitions since a young age. He has performed several times at New York’s Lincoln Centre, the Wigmore Hall in London, the Philharmonie in Berlin, the Palais des Beaux Arts in Brussels, and at the Istanbul International Film Festival. The programme is divided into two parts. The first pays tribute to Nino Rota with preludes for piano and the second part of the concert is dedicated to Scriabin and Rachmaninov. (9Colonne)
