(9 January 2017) The IDR (Italian Doc Remix) is the result of the artistic exchange between Marco Cappelli and Jim Pugliese whose common reverence for the villages’ ritual music led them to conclude the following: that the process of memory’s distortion of the second and third generation, living in New York cultural melting pot with a strong traditional background offers the audience music that is at the same time far from traditional roots- for geographic, chronological and cultural reasons- that however contains traditional elements, therefore impossible to place in any conventional category.
