(11 January 2016) “After Italy, I will present my new album to the US: Washington, New York and Los Angeles” according to composer and conductor Gabriele Ciampi. For Ciampi the new year began with the “New Year Concert” – sponsored by Jubilee of Mercy – which sold out in the Petrassi Hall of the Parco della Musica Auditorium. The new year will continue with another great event that will see him performing live at the Italian Embassy in Washington on March 24 where he will present his new Album “In Dreams Awake” to the country. Ciampi will conduct the prestigious National Symphony Orchestra. The Italian Embassy in Washington is dear place to Ciampi- this will be his second visit since his 2 June performance for the 70-year anniversary of the Italian Republic. The orchestra director is very much appreciated by great men: Pope Francis, whom he recently met at the Vatican; Obama for whom he was invited to perform at the White House by the First Lady, Michelle Obama for “White House for Holidays” on 8 December 2015 (red)
