London – Until next March 19 it will be possible to visit the exhibition “War in the sunshine, the British in Italy 1917-’18” at the Estorick Collection in London, the only collection entirely dedicated to Italian art in the UK that reopens its doors after some renovations. The exhibition, curated by Jonathan Black, is dedicated to the pictorial and photographic art depicting the British intervention alongside Italy during the First World War, on the front of the Italian northeast. On display paintings by Sydney Carline and photographs by WJ Brunnel and Ernest Brooks. The Collection was created by Eric Estorick (1913-1993), an American sociologist who became a collector of Italian art of the beginning of the twentieth century, a great admirer of Boccioni and many of his contemporaries.
