(January 25th 2017) “Aeffetto domino” is a dramatic film shot between Africa and Italy. It will be released in April in Italian theaters. Fabio Massa is author, star and director of the film. He was born 32 years ago in Castellammare di Stabia, he began his career in 2002 with a role in “Rosa Funzeca” film by Aurelio Grimaldi, presented at 59th Venice Film Festival. He hasn’t stopped since then, and the success was not long in coming with very successful products as “Un Posto al Sole”, and “La Squadra”. Short films and much cinema as well. Subtitled in English and French, “Aeffetto domino” will appear on international market. Produced by Goccia Film and Pragma and distributed by Ismaele Film, the film was shot in Campania Region, Puglia Region, Egypt and Senegal: “Making this film gave me strong emotions. Both for having shot some scenes in Africa in contact with children who have left a lot to me, and for having direct and shared the screen with quality actors of Italian cinema: Cristina Donadio (the star of the series “Gomorra 2” where she plays Scianel), Ivan Bacchi (which is rembered for the many films shot with Ferzan Ozpteck), Martina Liberti (“Un Posto al Sole”), Pietro De Silva (“Life is Beautiful”), Salvatore Cantalupo (“Gomorra”) without forgetting Mohamed Zouaoui (Globi d’Oro prize for “The Flowers Of Kirkuk”)”says Massa. The film leading role is Lorenzo. Lorenzo works in an association that deals with teaching disadvantaged children. Among them there is Kalid, an African young boy that teach his love for the “black continent” to Lorenzo. When he received the offer to operate in Africa itself, Lorenzo has no doubt. His new experience though is resized when it is forced to return to Italy because of a late-stage melanoma. From here the domino effect affects on his life: his relationship with his family, love, friendship and his choices. “I want to emphasize – adds the director and actor from Campania Region – that this is not a film about the disease, but more about life and its transformation.” (Red)
