(January 26, 2017) “O Canada! Il nostro focolar! Patria d’amor, glorioso il tuo cantar”: so begins the anthem of Canada translated in Italian, as part of “Our Shared Anthem”. The project – reported on the website of our Consulate in Toronto – is the result of an initiative of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, which has led to the creation of a multilingual version of the anthem “O Canada”. Besides Italian, other languages are English, French, Mandarin, Punjabi, Spanish, Arabic, Tagalog, Cree, ASL (American Sign Language), Tamil. Sung by Daniela Nardi, the lyrics has been translated in Italian by Maria C. Oss-Cech. (Red)
