Beirut – The Defense Chief of Staff, General Claudio Graziano, who accompanied the Minister of Defense Roberta Pinotti on an official visit to Lebanon, met with the staff of the Italian Armed Forces operating under Operation UNIFIL. “Before reaching the base – said General Graziano talking to the staff – we met with top political and military leadership of the country and from each of them we have received words of deep gratitude for the work you do for the security and stability of this Land”. “In particular – said General Graziano- Lebanese Defense Minister highlit how cooperation between Italy and Lebanon walk right through the cooperation between the two armed forces”, stressing that the work done by Italian peacekeepers is much appreciated.
